Exception Paradise was awarded in Premios COAM 2021.

It is the culmination of a theoretical research on music festivals, applied to a key part of Porto’s heritage, the Coliseu Auditorium, bringing it up to date with the new dynamics of entertainment that have emerged and recovering its inherent historical value as a public space.

Nº 137 of Passos Manuel street hides the entrance to three paradises.
In 1908, an ornamentation loggia clears the way to a pleasure garden. After the city’s monumental plan of 1939, it became an auditorium with an impressive façade, with stalls, box seats and paradise.
In 2020, the Coliseu changed into a scenic archaeology composed by three stratums. A vibrant grotto, which acoustically qualify the music festival. Underneath the canopy, a pleasure and public garden with three follies and stages. And beneath it, an underground stage machinery.
