Bambooleo is a project developed together with Taichung University, which explores the capabilities of bamboo as a scaffolding support in Taiwan by designing a prototype node that integrates structural and infrastructural capabilities for the execution of events.
Bambooleo provides with the boundaries, structure and infrastructure necessary to carry out ephemeral playful events with complete flexibility. Combining the 360ยบ node patent of the company Layher and the steel node between bamboo bars of Palakas, the design of this structural node allows us to increase the angular tolerance of its connections, to build non-orthogonal scaffoldings in plan and section with a simple assembly. Taking advantage of the interior cavity of the bamboo, the infrastructure is integrated to set up different events, being able to install LED lighting, installations, loudspeakers or signage easily.
